Why I'm not an artist

It's only day 13 of NaBloPoMo and I'm running out of things to say.

So I drew you a picture...

It's a portrait of Baron von Sockmeister.

He didn't approve.

I was wondering what you were going to write about for a WHOLE month! heehee... I have to say, your drawing looks a little like how a child traces their own hand. Maybe that comes from me teaching 2 yr old preschoolers before I moved. We did a lot of hand art. But he looks soooo cute in the photograph!

Enjoyed seeing your comment on the hand blender, and then popped over to see your blog. I loved your post with the Baron. I feel I should be addressing him, as well, but he doesn't look like he wants to talk much.

And then to see your geocaching (I've always wanted to do that, but never quite got going with it), and your location in the Netherlands, and I'm enchanted!

My husband was born and raised in francophone Belgium (technically he's American), and our summer vacation took us over there to celebrate his parents' 50th wedding anniversary. We spend a week with his brother and sisters (and their families) at a CenterParc (Port Zelande) on the coast of Holland.

We were able to visit the ten Boom museum in Haarlem while we were there...had hoped to get to Amsterdam and see the Anne Frank museum as well, but weren't able to.

Lovely country you're in. I've been there three times now and would like to go back yet again. I have a friend from childhood who lives there. Her husband is a Christian musician named Ben Ketting.

Anyway, I'm just blabbing away.

Bottom line: Nice to meet you.
